High security measures were taken which is equivalent to that of world leaders to ensure privacy at the wedding of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
The Mehndi ceremonies of the couple were held separately on Tuesday. The Groom’s event took place at the Ultra-luxurious CastaDiva Resort overlooking Lake Como while bride’s ceremony took place at the even more glamorous Villa d’Este about 5 Kilometers away. Security at all the venues for all events is strict and high alert at the venue.
All guests that attended were to present a special wrist band while security guards have covered up the camera lenses on mobile phones with stickers. The e-invites also bear a QR code to be scanned at the entry. Numerous security boats patrol just outside the perimeter of the property to deter any unauthorized photographer or unknown person at the venue.
Boat rentals companies have been warned by the local authorities from renting out boats to anyone from outside town. The rental company owners have been asked to make strict inquires as to the purpose of the renters. No one is willing to take any visitors into the water for sailing and boating, especially the area surrounding Villa Del Balbianello, the 13th Century villa where the main wedding will take place over two days starting today.
A source intimately familiar with the preparations for the wedding exclusively revealed to ANI that just over 100 guests – mostly family and friends of the couple as well as close Bollywood friends including Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali – will begin arriving at the venue at 9 am on November 14, 2018.
The first day will be the traditional Konkani ceremony which will continue through the day.
The source also revealed that the couples, their associates and a number of guests are staying at the ultra-luxury Castadiva Hotel approximately 30 kilometers from Villa del Balbianello by road but considerably quicker by boat.
